Hiding My Ip Address- Why I Stay Away From Free Proxy Sites

A while ago I got to understand that certain sites online limit access to people from different locations or countries.I thought this was nonsense and I sought to find a way around it, that was when I discovered Free Proxy Sites.

My Discovery

Usually when you visit any website, if it is one being well monitored, your computer leaves a trail, the trail is your IP Address. Ip which means Internet Protocol, uniquely identifies your computer/ ISP connection [ISP meaning internet service provider], so if your country is one with limited or no access to the site you could be blocked out.

Back to my discovery, I discovered that Free Proxy sites help you hide your IP, providing you with a new one [theirs] so yopu can surf anonymously without restrictions as it basically tricks the system to think you are surfing the web from another location.

From Good News To Bad News

I was ecstatic when i discovered the free proxies but then my happiness concerning the new discoveryw as shortlived. One day I accessed my online account through a free proxy because my ISP was acting funny that that, that was a mistake I was to live to regret. All went well that day, I accessed the account and left. A day later I went back into mya ccount this time through my normal route- my ISP. But to my surprise my balance had been wiped clean. On tracing the source, i discovered it was the free IP changer I used.

A Better Option- IP Changing Software

Since then I stay away from free proxies like a plague when I want to hide my ip address. I then discovered a better option- paid IP Changing software. Ever since I started using paid software I have never had any problems accessing any site online and I have never been robbed by hackers or identity thieves online again.
