Mask Your IP- Concealing Your Ip And Shielding Your Computer From Spyware Attack
Your IP address is your single most important data on the internet because it represents your identity on the internet, and so can either be used for or against you. Concealing this important information from being exposed will be a wise move on your side because you would not want it to reach the wrong hands and I can assure you that there are many hands waiting out there to prey on such single information.
One of such ways your IP address can be used against you is by stealing information from your computer using spyware. Spyware is a type of malware that attacks your computer by retrieving vital information from it and can also corrupt your system files. Your social security number, credit card information or even pin numbers can be stolen using the spyware.
Such spyware attacks begin when your real internet protocol address is known. So you should do all your possible to prevent it from being exposed on the internet.
The two techniques frequently used globally are: Proxy servers and Applications.
Proxy servers:- This is a website that can mask your IP address from being seen by presenting their own IP address to the requested website. All you have to do is to visit the proxy site and type in a website, then it will be displayed to you. A note of warning is that proxy sites may be used in sending viruses.
Applications:- This type of application is intended to present a dummy internet protocol address. It is installed on your computer and then it will automatically hide your address by presenting a dummy one. You can even change your location with this application e.g. a user in California, USA can change IP adress location to Ottawa, Canada.
Each of these two methods of hiding your ip address is good but the application/software method is greatly recommended.
